Last Friday we kicked off Reading Month with a visit from an author in the morning and our annual book character parade in the afternoon. First Grade pod was decorated with the characters of the book “Where Wild Things Are”. The First Grade students and teachers dressed up as their favorite book characters.
The purpose of this was to have fun and to instill in our students the love for reading and books.

El viernes pasado empezó el mes dedicado a la lectura con la visita por la mañana de un autor y un desfile en la tarde. Decoramos el área de Primer Grado con los personajes del libro “Donde las cosas salvajes viven”. Los estudiantes y maestros de Primer Grado se disfrazaron como los personajes de sus libros favoritos.
El propósito de todo esto fue el de divertirnos e inculcar en nuestros estudiantes el amor por la lectura y los libros.
